Skilltrade is specialized in hydrographic training and courses for the hydrographic survey, dredging and offshore construction industries. Since 2000 we offer courses and training developed by individuals who have gained their experience in the field and then taught by those same individuals.
At the heart of our company is our belief in the importance of sharing knowledge of hydrography. That the skills those trained have gained, can be furthered and exchanged with others, thus spreading and improving the knowledge and understanding of hydrography. Toward this end, Skilltrade aims to meet all your hydrographic training requirements.

Skilltrade can provide courses and training in four core areas by combining theory with field experience:

1. (Extended) Introduction to Hydrography
2. Short Courses
3. E-learning
4. Full Hydrographic Survey Curriculum (Category B)

Skilltrade’s flexibility lies in the fact that we offer an IHO/FIG/ICA accredited Hydrographic Survey Category B course which is taught in a blended format supported by an e-learning platform.
The various building blocks of the programme are based on the S5-B “Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors” as issued by the FIG/IHO/ICA and as such reviewed externally at regular intervals. We provide the full Hydrography programme leading to the coveted IHO/FIG/ICA recognized CAT B certificate. Alternatively one can choose from a variety
of subjects separately and obtain proof for Hydrographic Professional Assessment Schemes (HPAS) or Continuous Professional Development of Achievement (provided one passes the associated exam at the appropriate level).
Based on the specific needs and abilities of an applicant or sponsoring company we are able to tailor or combine these building blocks into a customized curriculum. When individuals reach a stage where more management or project skills are required we are also able to provide that next level as well.
